After three years of brewing and distributing their beers, the team at Buxton Brewery decided the time was right to open their own dedicated outlet; a showcase for the beers, situated close by where they are made, and in the centre of the bustling market town of Buxton.
The Buxton Tap House opened its doors on September 6th 2013 after a 9 month renovation and restoration project in part of the historic Old Court House, dating from the mid 1800s. The splendid Georgian architecture of the Crescent stands directly behind the Tap House, with other fine buildings such as the Opera House and The University of Derby’s famous Dome only a few metres away.
The Tap house is the unique place where it is possible to find the widest range of Buxton’s beers. The latest and freshest releases are always found there before anywhere else, and the cellar houses some of the rarer and extremely limited releases that have helped Buxton become a world-renowned brewery.
There are 18 beers available on draft, 16 on keg and 2 on traditional English beer-engine cask dispense. All the beers on draft are cared for by our brewery and cellar staff to ensure they are in the best possible condition for you to enjoy them, here in our home.
Growler fills for take-home beers are available for draft-fresh beers in your own home.
The fridges are stocked with many more of Buxton’s beers along with our favourites from other breweries around the world.
Our Whisky and Gin selection is always evolving and growing, with our staff seeking out exciting examples to add to our list. Wines are selected to be fine accompaniments to our food menu or simply enjoyed on their own.
